Design, Analysis and Experimental Verification of the Self-Resonant Inverter for Induction Heating Crucible Melting Furnace Based on IGBTs Connected in Parallel

چکیده
The object of this research was a self-resonated inverter, based on paralleled Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs), for high-frequency induction heating equipment, operating in wide range output powers, applicable and industrial purposes. For the nominal installed capacity these types invertors to be improved, presented inverter with modified circuit comprising IGBT transistors connected parallel explored. suggested topology required several engineering problems solved: minimisation current mismatch amongst transistors; precise analysis dynamic static transistors’ parameters; determination derating factors necessary reliable design; experimental verification confirming applicability investigated inverter. This paper presents design datasheet parameters mathematical apparatus application. expected factor, transistor production lot, were determined. experimentally tested using self-resonant model melting crucible laboratory furnace.
